An accomplished musician and producer, he translated his penchant for live performance to the studio environment while working both the Auburn, Alabama and Houston, Texas music scenes. James started the Wire Road enterprise in 2008, and after many successful recording accomplishments moved the business into a new world-class facility in March of 2011. Wire Road Studios has since serviced clientele such as Sony Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group, Landau Eugene Murphy Jr., Busta Rhymes, Ludacris, and Pat Green. In addition to his mixing and mastering talents James directs the Wire Road staff and company. . Jacob Meador, Independent Engineer & Mastering Engineer Jacob Meador is a native Houston, Texas musician and recording engineer. He has been recording music since 1993. After serving in the U.S. Coast Guard, Jacob returned to school for recording arts at the Conservatory of Recording Arts & Sciences in Tempe, AZ, to pursue his love of music. He has been a working record producer and recording engineer since 2000. As a staff engineer at Sunrise Sound Studio, he has had the privilege of working with countless local and national artists which include Winter Wallace, Savannah Berry, Caedmon’s Call, Probot, Wayne Kerr, Solange, and legendary jazz pianist Bobby Lyle. Currently, he devotes most of his time to mixing and mastering projects. Jacob also shares his love for the art and science of making records with students at Mediatech Institute. He has live sound experience mixing for Second Baptist Church, Riverpointe Church, and touring with Caedmon’s Call, Bebo Norman, and John David Webster. Jorge Santos, Omega Mastering Jorge Santos at a very early age showed an interest in music and technology, which led him to complete a an Audio and Music Business engineering program. In 1993, Jorge began his professional career in audio engineering and since then he has been involved in all aspects of audio including live sound, studio and live recording, mixing and mastering. He has worked with producers, artists and musicians in the U.S., Europe and all of Latin America. Jorge worked as the studio manager and lead engineer for CanZion Productions for 15 years, There, he was involved in multiple music productions of which several were nominated and received awards such as Premios Arpa, GMA Dove Awards and Billboard Music Awards. Five of these projects (Sana Nuestra Tierra, Recordando Otra Vez, Dios es Bueno, Alegria and 25th Commemorativo) have received accolades from the Latin Recording Academy / Latin Grammy Awards. Jane is also an artistic/vocal producer, and has produced and arranged many CDs. Michael Mikulka, NARIP Houston Board Member Lucky Run Studio (co-moderator) Engineer, producer and studio owner Michael Mikulka ran a successful recording studio and music complex in Southern California for almost 30 years. The 12,000 square-foot complex included 4 recording studios, a high end mastering suite, rehearsal studios and a full sound and lighting company where he worked with major artists, as well as hundreds of unsigned acts. Eight years ago, Michael re-connected with a lost love, sold his business in California, and moved his base of operation to Texas where he married and opened Lucky Run Studio on a 150-acre ranch on the west end of Houston. He has music supervised over 50 films and served as executive producer and producer on two short films. Dominique has an in-depth knowledge of music clearance & licensing, copyright law, licensing agreements and many other administrative responsibilities. Soon after moving to Nashville, TN in 1993, Dominique began working at Mercury Records. Learning how a record label works from the inside would later come into play in his career. After a short stay at Mercury, he began working at Acuff-Rose Publishing (now owned by Sony/ATV Music Publishing) where he worked as a copyright assistant. This is where his knowledge of licensing music for films and television grew. This experience has become an essential asset to his role as a music supervisor. Dominique has appeared on several music and film panels and workshops with his most recent panel, “The Not So Sexy Side Of Music For Film & TV,” at the 2012 SXSW Festival and Conference. Dominique’s film projects include the feature film, “Angel Camouflaged,” which has an early 2012 theatrical release staring James Brolin, Carlos Bernard and Warrick Grier and musical acts The Marshall Tucker Band, Patty Smyth, Kurtis Blow and Dilana. Under the 1.1 Digital Recordings label, she released the album, “Elixir”, a compilation of Electronica/Dance Music. The album features artists from around the globe who are at the top of the EDM genre in their region. Heidi began her musical career as a child with her primary musical influences including Mozart, Bach and Beethoven. She had classical and contemporary piano training beginning at the age of 8 years old through the Telschick Academy. Although she grew up behind the scenes in the theater world, music has always been a part of her life. In the recent past, her music’s been featured in local television and short films in Houston. She’s currently working on scoring a feature film in Houston. In the past two years, she has been nominated for the Houston Press Music Awards in the Instrumental / Experimental genre.
